Private Pilots License (PPL)
Obtaining your Private Pilots License (PPL) Requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight training (although most take 50-60hrs), passing 9 written theory exams, a practical radio exam and a practical flying skills test.
When these exams have been passed you will be able to fly a single engine piston aircraft with as many passengers as it will hold, anywhere in the world in reasonable weather conditions. Further ratings can be added to this license with additional training.

A number of flight instructors from varying backgrounds are available at Headcorn Aerodrome. They instruct on the Weald Air Services fleet of Cessna, Robin and Piper aircraft.
